Cinnamon is the dried bark of various Cinnamomum family laurel trees. “True Cinnamon” is the dried inner bark of the Cinnamomum Verum stem. As bushes, cinnamon plants are cultivated.
The cassia is one of the most common trees from which cinnamon is derived. Both the ground and stick forms of cinnamon have a sweet flavour and a woody aroma. Cinnamon exports from India are increasing day by day due to the spice’s growing popularity. Cinnamon export is also a significant source of revenue for exporters today.Western Ghats forests are the natural habitat for cinnamon.
